A Razorback
alumnus, Serenity graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1989. She has studied ballet, jazz, and Middle Eastern dance.
In 1996, she began performing Middle Eastern Dance professionally in Tucson, Arizona, in theaters, restaurants and festivals,
for businesses, private parties, and for special events. She is trained in “raqs sharqi,” known in the East
as oriental dance, and known in the West as cabaret style belly dance. Her teachers include Carmen Evans - who was inducted into the Middle
Eastern Dance Hall of Fame and who studied under Ibrahim Farrah for fifteen years, and also world-renowned dancer and instructor, Kathryn Ferguson - who studied with Jamila Salimpour. Find Serenity on Facebook.
